Esputicon krople doustne 5g

Esputicon are an odorless and tasteless oral drops used in the case of flatulence, and colic i.e. painful retention of air in the digestive system. Intended for babies from the first month of life, children and adults.

Ingredients
The active substance of the drug is dimethicone (Dimeticonum).

One drop contains approximately 20 mg of dimethicone.

Excipients: colloidal anhydrous silica.

Dosage
Always use this medicine exactly as described in the package leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.

Usual doses:

Adults: 4 times a day for 2 drops after meals and at bedtime, if necessary 3 times a day for 5 drops.

Preparation for ultrasound or diagnostic X-ray examinations: 2 drops 4 times a day two days before the examination, and 5 drops on an empty stomach on the day of the examination.

Small children and infants from 1 month of age: in abdominal distension, 1 to 2 drops, 2 times a day.

• Shake vigorously several times before use.
• The drug can be given dropwise on sugar, juice or other liquid.
• It has no taste and smell. It can be added to baby food.
• It does not contain sugar and can be used by diabetics.

Action
Dimethicone reduces the surface tension of air bubbles that enter the gastrointestinal tract mainly with swallowed air. In the increased accumulation of gases in the intestines, dimethicone breaks up the air bubbles, which facilitates the further movement of air in the intestines and eliminates the feeling of tension and pain associated with it.

Indications
Esputicon is used for: flatulence, colic, preparation for some X-ray and ultrasound examinations.

Skład
Substancją czynną leku jest dimetykon (Dimeticonum).

Jedna kropla zawiera ok. 20 mg dimetykonu.

Substancje pomocnicze: krzemionka koloidalna bezwodna.

Dawkowanie
Ten lek należy zawsze stosować dokładnie tak, jak to opisano w ulotce dla pacjenta lub według zaleceń lekarza lub farmaceuty. W razie wątpliwości należy zwrócić się do lekarza lub farmaceuty.

Zwykle stosowane dawki:

Dorośli: 4 razy na dobę po 2 krople po posiłkach i przed snem, w razie potrzeby 3 razy na dobę po 5 kropli.

Przygotowanie do ultrasonografii lub diagnostycznych badań rentgenowskich: na dwa dni przed badaniem 4 razy na dobę po 2 krople, a w dniu badania 5 kropli na czczo.

Małe dzieci i niemowlęta w wieku od 1 miesiąca: we wzdęciach brzucha 1 do 2 kropli, 2 razy na dobę.

• Przed użyciem silnie wstrząsnąć kilka razy.
• Lek można podawać wkroplony na cukier, do soku lub do innego płynu.
• Nie posiada smaku i zapachu. Można go dodawać do pokarmu dziecka.
• Nie zawiera cukru i może być stosowanych przez chorych na cukrzycę.

Działanie
Dimetykon zmniejsza napięcie powierzchniowe pęcherzyków powietrza, które dostają się do przewodu pokarmowego głównie z połykanym powietrzem. We wzmożonym nagromadzeniu się gazów w jelitach dimetykon rozbija pęcherzyki powietrza, co ułatwia dalsze przesuwanie się powietrza w jelitach i likwiduje uczucie napięcia oraz związanego z nim bólu.

Wskazania
Esputicon stosuje się w przypadku: wzdęć, przygotowania do niektórych badań rentgenowskich i ultrasonograficznych.
